Information reaching us is that, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has officially confirmed a total number of 120 trained Ghanaian nurses being sent to Barbados to serve a two-year contract.
A total number of 600 applications were received but only 120 nurses were shortlisted to serve at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados. The selected nurses are specialized in the following fields,12 cardiac care nurses, 21 critical care nurses, eight emergency room nurses, six operating theatre nurses, three ophthalmic nurses and 70 registered general nurses.

The initiative is coming from the Barbadian government.
