The 2nd annual edition of Sisters S.L.A.Y Girl Boss Brunch was stunningly held on Thursday, 26th December 2019 at the AMPM Villagio AQUA, Accra Ghana with the theme “Taking Risks”. Some of Ghana’s affluent women joined one another to witness the event as it unfolded, along with very special guests as they discussed enterpreneurship, sisterhood and bossing up in 2020. It was indeed a time to learn and build their own empire. Like it happened previously, this exclusive event (the panel discussion) was hosted by Ghanaian-American model, entrepreneur and founder of Sisters S.L.A.Y, Gifty Boakye.
The panelists include Setor Nyendu, IT specialist, model and CEO of Creative Anonymous; Mame Adjei, Model and Co-Founder of Nuit Noire; Eunice Nketia Beckman, a Professional Footballer and EFUA Women’s Ambassador; and last but not the least, Black Haze CEO of Fits Up Afros Out, and Social Justice Philanthropist.
Obviously the event was for us because we found ourselves in a room surrendered by powerful, passionate and successful women. The purpose was to provide inspiration, confidence and guidance for women with a dream to lead and take control of their lives and careers. The panel discussion was very smooth and fantastic, the questions ranged from how to overcome insecurity to competition and a whole lot more.
The panelists were asked about what they’re doing to help their industry in Ghana. Each of them had a fair knowledge of what it was like; Mame Adjei represented and represented well, she was very sensitive and touched on the mentorship program that’s she’s doing with her foundation. She went on to talk about her modelling agency which will be opened in due course. Black haze shared on her delibrate intention to focus on enterpreneurship in order to groom the youth to be better. In fact, it a was high time to come together, encourage and uplift one another. See the images below!
