Achimota School Rejects Ghana Education Service ( GES) Directive to Admit Rastafarians

Achimota School has rejected a directive by Ghana Education Service (GES) to admit the two (2) rastafarian students. The headmistress of the school after a crunch meeting with the Regional Director of the GES stated that the school will not compromise on it’s rules and will only admit the students if they take off their deadlocks.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) over the weekend directed the Headmistress of Achimota School to admit two (2) teenage students whose admission were withdrawn due to their dreadlocks. The directive followed an intense online protest against the decision of the Achimota School authorities.
