The Derrick Cares Foundation a charity driven organization have donated an amount of 2,000£ pounds to Fredrick Tangomyire an accident victim at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital.
The Philanthropist and Founder of the charity foundation Derrick David Evans said, he was touched by the plight of Fredrick after he chanced on his article which was aimed at soliciting for funds to help settle Frederick’s debt.
He stated that he decided to support a worthy cause after confirming from some family members of the victim and other close sources who matter in the process.
According to him, since the gesture falls in line with the objectives and purpose for his Foundation, he found it prudent to help the little way he could since that was the only way he could restore the lost joy in the heart of the family members.
The donation took place on the early hours of Tuesday at his residence in Accra between family members of the victim and Derrick, founder of the charity organisation.
Frederick Tangomyire who is an electrician whilst at work, sustained servere electrical burns which left him hospitalized at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital since July 2017 last year.
The total cost of Frederick’s treatment as at December last year was estimated at Fifty-four thousand, three hundred and eighty-two Ghana cedis(GHS 54,382.00).
DCF is a non profit NGO which seeks to empower the youth and give support to the less privileged in the society and also help improve upon the living conditions of the people in the remotest parts of the country.
The organization according to the founder, will make some donations hopefully next month during his birthday in some parts of the capital Accra and Apam in the central region.
The family of Frederick Tangomyire was grateful for the support and also called on other benevolent groups and individuals to also come to their aid.
