Ghanaian luxury womenwear brand, Duaba Serwa presented her latest wedding collection titled ”the Quintessential Bride”, introducing a new line to their catalog. The creative director, Nelly Hagan-Deegbe believes this maiden bridal colletion was ”instructed and inspired by God”. Actually, it represents the most perfect or typical contruct of quality and class, it’s a subtle accessible option for the minimalist bride with an intimate audience in a post pandemic world.
She continued to elaborate, “in designing we referenced the idea of a contemporary ceremony and created versatile and timeless pieces that Duaba Serwa woman can repurpose for the many facets and phases in life after the wedding”. Quite clearly, the garments were made with comfort in mind and dynamic enough to navigate through most of the events held, from the pre-wedding shoot to the main event. Outdoor garden settings, Sunday Church services, and the dinners.
Unveiling a 14 piece wonder, made with textured fabrics by hand, luxury charmeuses, Chantilly laces and plisse’s. Hand pleated fabrics, pearls and crystals, here comes the Duaba Serwa bride. Beautiful pieces such as Dons “MARIA”, which is a semi sweetheart traditional corset with underbust pearl beading, an asymmetrical pearled skirt with a plisse under layer. Kai Ju is another wedding outfit, it’s an armoured sleeve mermaid dress textured with origami triangular pleats and a gentle bridal tulle gathered at the waist.
