Today marks the celebration of women across the world as part of that, Joy FM assembled seasoned influential Ghanaian women on the super morning show to speak on issues relating to the investment women and girls receive from society to access equal opportunities like men and boys.
Host of the show for today was the adorable and beautiful second lady of Ghana, H.E Samira Bawumia bringing her experience as a public figure to bear, she threw questions uprooted from the challenges women and girls face and the most recent one, the Mawarko saga.
In the studio with her was; EC Chairperson-Madam Charlotte Osei, Former CEO of Ghana Chamber of Mines- Joyce Aryee, Senior director, Government Relations Newmont Africa-Ama Sarpong Bawuah, Former Deputy Finance Minister-Mona Quartey.
Empowering women and girls have become a key point in society and almost all governments across Africa are taking keen interest in that as they are the pillars that a nation can build on because women help a lot in the developmental process of every nation from the home to well establish organizations, women and girls help channel their energy to make sure things are run smoothly.
As the saying by fore-fathers goes; ‘If you educate a man you educate one person, but if you educate a women you educate an entire nation.’
