The abuse of Tramadol is speedily becoming a global issue and if stringent measures are not put in place to resolve this, many people will lose their lives and more would end up in drug rehabilitation centres.In this regard, head of News at GhoneTv Nana Aba Anamoah and GhoneTv have joined hands with some well-meaning Ghanaian Bloggers to help put an end to the excessive abuse of Tramadol amongst the youth in the country.Earlier today at the GHOne Tv premises, the news editor Nana Aba Anamoah and CEO of EIB Network Nathaniel Anokye Adisi popularly known as Bola Ray engaged bloggers in a live discussion to help raise awareness on the effects and dangers attached to the excessive abuse of the drug.She beckoned that, dedicating a day to educate and sensitize people following them on social media can go a long way to save a soul engaged in the act.Fancy Gadam, who is the ambassador for this project pledged his full support for the project.He stated that, coming from the ghetto side, he has majority of his followers from the ghettos and for him it will be a serious problem to lose them to Tramadol the silent killer.Tramadol is a pain relief drug, which according to medical experts, functions like heroin and can cause psychotic problems as well as damage vital organs in the human body if abused.Recent surveys have shown that the drug is being abused by some youth, as well as some market women, drivers and in some cases students.Findings have shown that Tramadol abuse has killed more people than heroin and cocaine.This has called for concerns and Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has planned to join forces with a number of sector agencies to curb the illegal entry, distribution, sale of tramadol following how some Ghanaians are speedily abusing the drug.So save a brother by joining Nana Aba Anamoah, GhoneTv and bloggers to end Tramadol Abuse with the #EndtramadolwithGhone.By: William Lantei LampteySee more photos
