NIGERIA’S OBI MIKEL LEAVES CHELSEA FC, WRITES OPEN LETTER TO FANS

Obi Mikel has not had the best of luck under new coach Conte who didn’t pen him in his plans for the season and Obi found himself not even on the bench, well he sees the moment to be the best for him to say good bye to the team to continue fighting elsewhere.

He completed a transfer to the Chinese Super League after signing for Tianjin Teda on a 3-year deal worth an estimated £140,000 per week (HK$1.34 million).

The Nigerian is among few of the foreign players at Chelsea to have made 300 appearance in over 10 and half years at the club. He is not one of the players who makes the headlines every week but his contributions to the club was very great and has been fans favorite for long, it is in this regard that when he decided to leave he wrote an open letter to thank all the fans for their love and support.
