Nivea Accra Fashion Week 2019 Set Trends on the Runway

The biannual edition of Nivea Accra Fashion Week was set to rock and celebrate beautiful African fashion in an elegant style. The successful event was held at Tang Palace Hotel, near Gold House; South Airport Residencial Area, right from the 2nd to 6th October, 2019 and paraded some amazing designers who showcased their creativity and craftsmanship. Amongst other designers who showcased include Lumiere Couture, Elikem Kumordzie, Lauren Haute Couture, Afre Anko, Seds Ghana, Senoritas Studio, Clatural House of Irawo, to mention but just a few.

The much anticipated FashionGHANA.com Auction Gala Night which happened on the 2nd of October, at the CAFO Showroom took the fashion week to a whole new level with Ghanaian celebrities dressed in no frivolous details at all but extravagant and eccentric outfits on the red carpet.

Accra Fashion Week has set a high standard to operate at a level platform for African designers which can be compared to fashion weeks across the major fashion capitals. It aims to fill the void which sees tremendous creativity and culture across the continent with the absence of an operating fashion infrastructure. This year’s edition was manifestly clear, it shows the time ahead is promising and pretty much better.

The Going Global Seminar was on focus and hosted the likes of Chocolate by Kwaku Bediako and Clevon Leonard. The Designers competition blended in well with the Face of Accra Fashion Week which saw lots of upcoming models and beautiful girls taking part. The event was proudly organised by FashionGHANA.com. Sponsors include Nivea, CFAO Ghana, Phase 2 Face Clinik, and Snapproom Ghana.
