The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo addreseed the nation on Thursday, 9th April 2020, to update Ghanaians on measures taken to fight against spread of coronavirus. This is his 6th address since the global pandemic entered into the country, all are effective measures to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and eventually do away with the infectious disease.
It seems obvious, the Coronavirus outbreak will see reduction with the number of confirmed cases and result in stable conditions for the affected ones but he was quick to point out significantly, “however, this fight is not yet over, we’re by no means out of the woods yet. As I said, we now have in total three hundred and seventy-eight (378) confirmed cases of infections, with six (6) deaths, four (4) recovered, two (2) critical condition, the remaining three hundred and seventy (370) are mild cases, who are in isolation, and are either being managed at home or at treatment centres”.
