The second lady of the Republic of Ghana was in London recently upon invitation to attend the “World Family Planning Summit 2017” on the theme “For Safer, Healthier and Empowered Futures #HerFuture”.
She was in the company of Dr. Patrick Aboagye, Director for Family Health, Ghana Health Service and Hon. Tina Mensah, Deputy Minister of Health who was also the leader of the delegation.
Discussions were held on Adolescent Reproductive Health Education in Ghana with the Hon. Rory Stewart, joint minister of State for the Department of International Development and Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The delegation also met with Melinda Gates and the Deputy U.N Secretary General Mme. Amina J. Mohammed. And later discussions with representatives from DFID, Bill and Melinsa Gates foundation and Palladium to hold talks on the progress Ghana has made so far in these areas.
