The First Ever Virtual Awards Ceremony 3Music Awards 2020 as it Happened at Fantasy Dome Trade Fair La Accra

The first ever virtual awards ceremony 3Music Awards 2020 happened live at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Centre, La Accra. This is due to the novel coronavirus and measures to ensure social distancing or better still the suspension on public gatherings of more than 25 people, the event was streamed live on Joy Prime and 3Music’s Social Media Handles.

The Awards ceremony which was held without the usual live audience, saw the winners coming through with their acceptance speech via video conferencing app Zoom. In all, there were 30 categories including Song of the Year, which was won by Kofi Kinata’s ‘things fall apart’. While Female Act of the Year went to Gospel Artiste Dina Hamilton, the Male Act was Ghana’s top rapper, Sarkodie. We promise to bring you the award winners and the various categories.

Hosting this year’s edition were Radio and TV personalities; Naa Ashorkor and Jay Foley. Naa noted on her official Instagram page, “kinda awkward talking to empty chairs in a large auditorium but when you wear an amazing dress from Pistis GH, nothing else matters”. See the images below!
