The Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana Her Excellency Samira Bawumia Honored by Sustainable Energy for All and Ashden

The Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Samira Bawumia was privileged to have been named one of seven global honorees at seven for 7, a celebration sustainable energy for all (SEforAll) and Ashden.

This was in recognition of her contribution towards driving action on UN Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7); the call for universal access to modern reliable, renewable and affordable energy for all, by 2030.

Seven for 7 is an annual event hosted by SEforAll, an international organization launched by former UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon to drive action towards the achievement of the SDG7, in partnership with Ashden, a London based charity organisation.

She expressed her gratitude to the organisers for the recognition. “I wish to thank the organisers for the recognition. As a Global Ambassador for the Clean Cooking Alliance, I am challenged to do more”, she affirmed.
