Black Stars coach, Avram Grant has been through a lots since taking over the team about two years ago but that was expected because of the passion, emotion and love Ghanaians have for football especially when it comes to matters of the Senior National Team.
A team they have prayed and dreamed to win the AFCON cup which has eluded the nation for the past three decades now.
And the disappointing turn of event once again at this year’s AFCON added more fuel to already burning fire, which came about from the 2014 World Cup competition in Brazil.
This has led lot of people to question the loyalty of the players towards their nation, the coach who has decided to step down from his position spoke exclusively to Bola Ray on Starr 103.5 FM on some few issues, both the good and bad ones.
He expressed his love for Ghana and believed deeply that this current team will one day win the African Cup of Nation but just that the right structures need to be in place also to groom the local players into the National teams.
When asked what he will missed most about Ghana, he said; ‘I will miss Ghanaian Jollof’.
He was particularly not happy about the kind of salary the players in the local leagues receive and want that to be improved immediately to prevent most of them from flying out in search of opportunities.
